Class Per Week
15 - 17 year olds
This exciting language course offers students the opportunity to ski or snowboard each afternoon following their morning German lessons.
Students attend 25 German lessons per week in the mornings before heading to a nearby ski slope with the school's welfare workers for 2 to 3 hours of ski/snowboard lessons and practice.
On Saturdays, the students go on a full-day excursion to a bigger skiing resort in the Alps. Please observe that this excursion only takes place if enough students sign up for it. Otherwise, the participants will join the other students on the regular Saturday excursion.
The ski/snowboard course is designed for total beginners as well as for those with some prior experience and includes each week:
- 25 morning language lessons
- 5 afternoons of lessons (2-3 hours)
- 1 full-day excursion to a skiing resort
- ski / snowboard equipment (skis/snowboard, poles, boots, helmet)
- lift ticket
The course is run at an excellent language school in Lindenberg called the Humboldt Institut. The dedicated team at this quality assured school provide German tutoring, accommodation and activity programmes of the highest standards to make this an ideal study abroad option for TY students.
As part of the intensive German course, students will attend 25 lessons per week in groups of approximately 10 people. Your experienced and fully qualified tutors use stimulating teaching methods to create classes that are educational as well as enjoyable. The 25 weekly lessons will improve your overall fluency and confidence as you increase your German vocabulary and develop your conversation skills.
