Students under the age of seventeen are required to stay with a host family living between five and thirty minutes from the F+U Academy language school. Your warm and welcoming German host family will be previously assessed by the dedicated staff at F+U to ensure that you are suitably matched with hosts who can meet your requirements. Here you will be provided with half board and can share a double room with another student or opt for a single room.

Students aged seventeen and over have the option to stay in the student residence which is self-catering accommodation. You can share with another student or request a single room.

Curfew for all students is 10 PM from Sunday through Thursday and 12 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. If you have any special requirements, please inform us at the point of booking to allow us to accommodate your needs.

School Introduction Video

You can fly out any Sunday of the year and start classes the next day.

Students will stay with a previously vetted host family or the F+U student residences close to the language school where they will attend classes.

Students can opt to stay between one and four weeks.

Students can opt to share a room with a friend or can be placed with another student if they have travelled alone. Staying with a student who you didn’t know before your trip is a great way to widen your circle of friends while getting the chance to practice your language skills with new people.

Having a foundation of conversational German is beneficial to students going on any of our language courses but even less advanced students will see their fluency flourish in a short space of time during this immersive experience.

While half board is provided in home stay accommodation, the student residences are self catering. You’ll need money for socialising and shopping during your time away.

You’ll need to arrange your own flights. But we are happy to help advise you on the most direct route.
