Course Summary

15 - 17 year olds

Completely immerse yourself in the vibrant Andalusian culture with our latest Stein Study secondary school programme available in the city of Cadiz.

Alongside our partners in International House Clic Cadiz, we have designed a Secondary School Programme for TY students which will hugely improve your fluency and allow you experience life in an entirely new location.

Each student spends the first two weeks taking classes in our partner language school Clic where they will also be fully prepared for life as a student in Spain. These two weeks are necessary for students to undergo orientation and a gradual immersion into Spanish life as they adjust to a new culture, language and environment. This preparation period is also used to assess the student’s individual needs and measure their fluency before placing them in the most suitable local secondary school available at the time.

After the first two weeks, students begin attending classes in the secondary school specially selected for them. Here they attend mainstream classes such as Geography and Science alongside other Spanish students. We also recommend attending five one-to-one Spanish lessons per week to assist them in developing their Spanish skills.

Our dedicated team in Clic will mentor and support students as they begin their Secondary School Programme and specially select warm and welcoming Spanish host families for you to stay with.

During your stay, you can take part in a range of activities organised by Clic including surfing and cookery classes as well as using your free time to get to know your host family and explore Cadiz.

The committed team at Clic International House specially select friendly and caring Spanish host families located as close as possible the school. They have longstanding relationships with many of the host families in Cadiz and ensure that the accommodation provided is safe, clean and comfortable. Both the Stein Study Team and staff in Cadiz are dedicated to finding host families capable of meeting each student’s requirements. If you let us know at the point of booking what your requests are, we will do our best to ensure that you are matched with the best host family possible. We understand the concerns that both parents and students have ahead of living abroad with new people. While we have total confidence in our partners in Cadiz, we are also available around the clock to assist parents and students with any queries or concerns before, during or after their stay in Cadiz.
