Students will attend classes at the fantastic Lacunza International House in San Sebastian. This exceptional school is IALC accredited, so is member to a community of language schools who are quality assured in their tutoring practices and the provision of accommodation. Included in this trip for Transition Years are twenty group lessons taught by dynamic tutors who use stimulating, interactive methods to ensure students find this experience enjoyable as well as educational.

As well as practicing your conversation skills in class, you’ll notice a massive improvement in your fluency during activities and excursions when you’ll get the chance to chat with fellow group members and locals in everyday situations. This will hugely benefit your overall Spanish comprehension and expression.

At Stein Study we understand the importance of safe and comfortable accommodation to both parents and students. Lacunza previously assess all host families and we are confident that they ensure that they are fully able to meet each student’s needs. While staying with your warm and welcoming host family close by the language school, you’ll share a double room with a friend. If you’re travelling alone we’ll happily place you with another student. All your meals are provided by the host family too. Curfew for all students is 11 PM from Sunday to Thursday and 1 AM on Fridays and Saturdays. If students have any food allergies or accommodation preferences, please let us know at the point of booking so that we can ensure these requirements are met.

School Introduction Video

Students will stay with a welcoming host family who live a short distance from the Lacunza language school. Each host family is previously vetted by the school staff.

Transfer between the airport and your host family’s home is provided on arrival and departure.

You can fly out on Sunday the 4th of June from Dublin airport with your group leaders and other group members.

Students can opt to stay for two or three weeks. If you book a two week trip but want to extend your stay while you’re there, that’s no problem.

While all meals are provided, you’ll need money for socialising and shopping during your time away.

Having a foundation of conversational Spanish is beneficial to students going on any of our language courses but even less advanced students will see their fluency flourish in a short space of time during this immersive experience.

You’ll need to arrange your own flights. But we will provide you with the details needed regarding the airline you’ll travel with, the flight number and flight times of your outgoing and return journeys to ensure you travel with your Group Leaders and fellow students.

Students can opt to share a room with a friend or can be placed with another student if they have travelled alone. Staying with a student who you didn’t know before your trip is a great way to widen your circle of friends while getting the chance to practice your language skills with new people.
